Heart Safe School (HSS) Designation

Project ADAM (PA) Affiliate Programs assist schools and communities in building cardiac emergency response plans that can be activated when a sudden cardiac arrest occurs. Our program leaders provide the foundation schools need to develop and strengthen their preparedness efforts, offering program templates and one‑on‑one consultation to support effective cardiac emergency readiness and help prevent sudden cardiac death in the school setting. The PA Heart Safe School (HSS) Designation is awarded to schools that successfully implement a high‑quality program of awareness, training, and a practiced emergency response, as outlined in the Heart Safe School Checklist, demonstrating their commitment to a safer environment for students, staff, and visitors. Visit the Marketing Resources section for ideas and tools to help promote your program to a variety of audiences.
